A Disney fanatic has shared his very honest review of the theme park’s most expensive and ‘opulent’ resort where rooms cost up to $1,000 a night.
Shay Spence, who is based in Florida, took to TikTok to document his experience while staying at Disney World’s flagship hotel – the Grand Floridian.
The content creator, who has more than 1.6 million followers on the platform, gave a comprehensive breakdown of the pros and cons he encountered during his trip.
And his review sparked fierce debate in the comments as former visitors argued about the hefty price tag.

And, with rooms costing up to $1,000 a night, the content creator vowed to share whether it was really worth the price.
He began by addressing one of the main positives of his stay – the aesthetics.
‘First off, the lobby is gorgeous. It’s elegant. You do feel very fancy and kind of Victorian when you’re staying here, which is important if you’re paying this much.
‘The smell of the lobby is unmatched – especially at Christmas time when they have a massive real, life-size gingerbread house right in the lobby.’
Shay then went on to list the location and transportation as being ‘huge perks’ – sharing there was a monorail line, ferry and ‘lovely little walking path’ that can get visitors to the park in minutes.
Next up on the social media star’s list of plus points was the rooms themselves.
‘There are some King bedrooms at this hotel, but it’s vast majority have two Queens,’ he shared.
‘Overall, the rooms have an elegant feel. They’re subtle and tasteful and the theming was some Mary Poppins here and there,’ he shared

But Shay was not done there with listing the advantages as he dished on the facilities which included two pools
He shared: ‘My favorite of the two pools is the beach pool, where you can watch the monorails go by’
Showcasing the stunning view from his sleeping quarters, Shay added: ‘This is a «theme park view» which has the most amazing view of the Magic Kingdom fireworks at night.
‘This building is called Boca Chica and I highly recommend requesting to be in this one.
‘Overall, the rooms have an elegant feel. They’re subtle and tasteful and the theming was some Mary Poppins here and there.
‘Bathrooms have two sinks and it is a combination shower and tub. The tub is deep and substantial.’
But Shay was not done there with listing the advantages as he dished on the facilities which included two pools.
He explained: ‘The courtyard pool is massive. It is nice and relaxing here but no real defining characteristics.
‘My favorite of the two pools is the beach pool, where you can watch the monorails go by.
‘This is where the water slide is and also, the chicken nuggets at the pool bar here are fantastic.’
He explained that there were a total of five table-service restaurants located at the Grand Floridian
The places include Narcoossee’s, The Grand Floridian Cafe, Enchanted Rose, Citricos and Victoria and Albert’s

The Enchanted Rose has a Beauty and the Beast themed lounge and espresso martinis
He suggested trying out the truffle fries and flatbread at the Enchanted Rose
And that took him seamlessly into his next point – the food.

Shay rattled off a whole host of pros and cons for each establishment before highlighting some of the signature menu items to try.
The Disney fan concluded his video by stating: ‘Overall, I think the Grand Floridian is the most lovely place to stay at Disney World.
‘My only real con is that the level of luxury at a Disney resort is never gonna reach that of a similarly price resort elsewhere.
‘So if you wanna have a true five-star experience with amenities and larger, fancier rooms, I would stay somewhere like the Four Seasons.’
Shay’s video was soon flooded with mixed comments from visitors who had stayed at the resort previously.
