The upgrades, downgrades and changes to Yankees’ playoff roster

BALTIMORE — Sure, things can change before the playoffs begin on Sept. 30, but the Yankees seem pretty set to finish with one of the top two wild-card spots as they look to get back to the World Series for a second straight year.

And while the Yankees — in theory — could use the experience of last season’s October run for more success in these playoffs, this team will look considerably different.

The loss of Juan Soto in free agency to the Mets has been thoroughly dissected, and there was no denying his importance to the Yankees knocking off the Royals in the ALDS and Cleveland in the ALCS.

But do you know who had the most playoff plate appearances for the Yankees last year?
