Donald Trump blamed Joe Biden for his conviction in his “hush money” case in a rambling speech in which he also attacked the judge who is set to sentence him next month.

Speaking at Trump Tower earlier today, the former president lashed out at the “highly conflicted” judge Juan Merchan. Mr Trump, who was yesterday found guilty of 34 counts of falsifying business records, said that the court was in “total conjunction” with the White House and Mr Biden – follow live updates.

Starmer ‘losing control’ of Labour

Sir Keir said Ms Abbott was “free” to stand in her North London seat on Friday, hours after he refused to endorse her despite his deputy Angela Rayner pressuring him to do so. The Telegraph understands that Ms Abbott will now be on the list of candidates to be approved by the party’s National Executive Committee.
