MOSCOW (Sputnik) – On Tuesday, Russian security forces reported that the Ukrainian army had used chemical weapons, presumably white phosphorus, near the city of Artemovsk in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR). They provided Sputnik with a video showing a glass flask containing this poisonous substance.

The use of chemical weapons was recorded in the vicinity of Kleshcheyevka village.

The weapon, which was a glass flask containing a poisonous substance, released a gas that irritated the human mucous membranes, according to the conclusion of the expert who analyzed the sample.

Presumably, this element is white phosphorus.

The symptoms of exposure to it include coughing and a burning sensation of the upper respiratory tract. This chemical can be lethal, depending on how much of the substance someone has inhaled and its concentration. The Ukrainian forces employed drones to unleash the glass flasks containing the chemical.

Russian security forces have issued a warning regarding such substances and related items, urging individuals not to touch or destroy them.
