US comedian Ari Shaffir left The Project hosts stunned on Wednesday night as he recalled a humiliating incident where he got explosive diarrhoea while visiting a Sydney landmark.
The stand-up comic, 50, who is currently performing his latest show across the country, told the hosts the incident occurred while he was doing the city’s famed bridge climb.
‘I crapped my pants on the Sydney Harbour Bridge. I was like 20 minutes in when I got my first diarrhoea pain,’ Ari began.
‘They strap you in, you can’t turn around. I had to cross my legs a few times for a strain, we’ve all been there!’
A horrified Waleed Aly, 45, jumped in to clarify that it had never happened to him and Shaffir then bluntly asked him if he had ever had diarrhoea in public.

‘Not on a landmark!’ Aly shot back.
‘It was so painful but I was going okay until there was a ladder and I had to bend my knees. There was a horrible sound and the face of a foreigner in shame.
‘My pants filled, it was terrible,’ Ari added.

Co-host Sarah Harris, 42, looked absolutely stunned by Shaffir’s gross admission and screamed out: ‘No, you did not!’.
Meanwhile Nick Cody and Georgie Tunny, 32, were seen covering their mouths in disgust.
Shaffir is currently performing his Wrong Side of History stand-up comedy show across Australia.
He will next perform in Adelaide on Friday, May 24, and then head to Sydney to perform on Saturday, June 1.
