Cyprus has earned a new entry in the Guinness Book of World Records after Dinos Kkantis balanced 416 drinking glasses on his head while dancing in traditional costume.

The event took place in Aradippou, his hometown near Larnaca, during an Easter Tuesday celebration.

The attempt, verified by Guinness officials, required the glasses — stacked on seven trays and weighing 80 kilograms — to remain balanced for at least 10 seconds.

Organisers claim Kkantis later lifted an eighth tray, potentially raising the total to 468, pending official confirmation.

The performer dedicated the record to his brother Zachary, who died in 2007 at the age of 22 while dancing at his engagement party.
