A huge cannabis factory full of plants with a street value of more than £1m has been found inside a former Woolworths and Poundland building in a UK town centre.

Officers were carrying out anti-social behaviour patrols when they were drawn to signs of a suspected factory on Huntingdon‘s High Street.

They discovered more than 1,000 cannabis plants in the premises on Monday afternoon (21 July).

The plants and growing equipment were seized.

No arrests have been made and an investigation is ongoing.
