What to make of these late fantasy football draft risers

In the last of a six-part fantasy football draft preview series, Fantasy Insanity looks at players who are rising up draft boards.

There was a breakout player last season you probably have forgotten all about. He wasn’t a rookie, he hadn’t changed teams, didn’t get a new quarterback.

Chris Godwin was a seven-year veteran. He had an All-Pro season in 2019 — finishing second among fantasy wide receivers — but that appeared to be an outlier. In his other season, he only finished in the top 20 twice, and never better than WR15.

Until last season. When he was ranked eighth overall in fantasy scoring through Week 7, and trailed only Ja’Marr Chase among WRs, and by just 0.3 points in PPR.
