Big changes to Fortnite OG are set to come soon, and they’re expected to arrive in the next update for the game which is just around the corner.
A new update is set to hit Fortnite soon, and it will give the game everything it needs to prepare for the new Fortnite OG season.
Fortnite has been offering players an awful lot to get stuck into since its last update. The Fortnite patch notes for update 34.10 revealed a whopping mass of weapons to collect, including the Pump and Dump shotgun / SMG combo paired with its own Mythic available to purchase from Black Markets. It also came with a collection of Outlaw Keycard missions for players to get stuck into, allowing them greater access to the Black Markets that give them a chance to bag the best weapons in the lobby if they’re willing to put in the work robbing vaults and trains.
There’s more yet to come, though, and although the contents of the upcoming update 34.20 are largely under wraps, we can still expect a few new details to appear before the moment of the update itself. So, when is the next Fortnite update? Here’s what you need to know.

When is the next Fortnite update?
The next Fortnite update, known as update 34.20, is set to arrive on Tuesday, March 25, at around 4am PDT / 7am EDT / 11am GMT. The time has been confirmed by Fortnite leaker @ShiinaBR, who has revealed that the update has appeared on staging servers, and the time is based on an estimate after recent server maintenance, like the downtime for update 34.10 and the update 33.30 downtime.
We can expect that the game will go down at around 2am PDT / 5am EDT / 9am GMT and last for around three hours, with the game kicking players out of new matchmaking around 30 minutes ahead of time.
It’s an exciting update, as it’s the tenure of this update that we’ll see the arrival of Fortnite OG Season 3, but beyond that, it’s a total mystery as to what we’ll see. Expect the unexpected, and we’ll see you on the OG island.
Next Fortnite update –
There isn’t much information out there regarding the arrival of the next Fortnite update, but we can at least expect the arrival of a new season for the iconic Fortnite OG mode. Here’s what we know will be coming to the game soon so far:
- Fortnite OG Season 3, reflecting the original Meteor Strike season
- An anime crossover with Solo Levelling (via @ShiinaBR)
- Six new Mythic weapons, including an explosive Mammoth Pistol (via @Hypex)
- A new Mortal Kombat Lamborghini Countash car, implying that Skorpion and more Mortal Kombat collaborations could come too (via @SamLeakss)
As you can see, there’s not a lot going on here, but when Epic Games officially reveals Fortnite OG Season 3, we’ll be in for a huge influx of content, including a new OG Pass, which will be more than enough for a lot of players. We’re certianly not about to complain about more cosmetics to earn.
