‘WWHL’: Christa Miller Allowed Her Kids To Have Sex As Teenagers In Her House — But Only With People They Were Dating

Christa Miller isn’t a regular mom, she’s a cool mom. The Scrubs alum revealed on Tuesday night’s (Oct. 15) episode of Watch What Happens Live that she allowed her children to have sex in her house — but there was one stipulation.

The actress stopped by the Bravo Clubhouse following the new episode of The Real Housewives of New York City, in which newbie Rebecca Minkoff shocked her co-stars by admitting her parents bought her birth control and allowed her to have sex at 16 years old if she abstained from drugs. Minkoff noted that she would even make the same deal with her own daughter.

Meanwhile, her castmates had a difficult time getting on board with the unconventional parenting style, with Jenna Lyons appearing extremely uncomfortable at the thought of making that rule with her son.

“I grew up in California, and so it was mostly about drinking and driving,” Lyons said. “But like, the idea that I would condone sex at 16? It’s all like too much. I have a 17-year-old kid, like I can’t even imagine giving him … Oh, God.”

The jaw-dropping moment came up again during the Watch What Happens Live polls when host Andy Cohen asked his guest if she would allow her children to have sex as teenagers if it meant them avoiding drugs — and her answer surprised him.

“Listen, I was really strict with all my kids and the one thing I wasn’t strict with was sex,” Miller, who is married to television producer Bill Lawrence, confessed. “My kids were allowed to have sex in our house if it was someone they were dating from 16 on — if it was someone they were dating.”

“I’m a yes,” she added.

Most of the viewers, however, said they would not condone sex at 16, with 82% voting no and 18% voting yes.

Watch What Happens Live airs Sunday through Thursdays at 10 p.m. ET on Bravo. New episodes are available to stream the next day on Peacock.
