Lakers’ 2026 NBA Cup Group Play scheduled revealed

It was already known that the Lakers would play the Warriors three times during October entering Wednesday.

Now, a fourth matchup in the month has been revealed. 

The Lakers will travel to San Francisco to play the Warriors on Oct. 30 to kick off their NBA Cup Group Play slate.

It’s the second matchup of the Amazon Prime’s NBA Cup Group Play doubleheader, with the 76ers and LeBron James hosting the defending NBA Cup and NBA champion Knicks beforehand on Oct. 30. 

The NBA announced the Lakers’ four NBA Cup Group Play games on Wednesday:

  • Oct. 30: at Warriors;
  • Nov. 6: vs. Trail Blazers;
  • Nov. 20: vs. Kings;
  • Nov. 27: at Spurs.

The Lakers will also play the Warriors in preseason exhibitions on Oct. 6 at Chase Center and Oct. 13 in Las Vegas before hosting the Warriors for both teams regular season opener on Oct. 21. 

The group play of the NBA’s fourth annual in-season tournament will run from Oct. 30 through Nov. 27, with the single-elimination knockout round being played from Dec. 4-9.

The NBA Cup final will be played at Butler’s Hinkle Fieldhouse in Indianapolis on Dec. 11 – the first time it will be held outside of Las Vegas, which hosted the tournament’s first three finals.

The semifinals will be played in the team’s markets after the semifinals and the final were played in Las Vegas the previous three years. 

The full NBA schedule will be released at noon on Thursday. 

The Lakers’ six known regular season games are:

  • Oct. 21: vs. Warriors;
  • Oct. 30: at Warriors;
  • Nov. 6: vs. Trail Blazers;
  • Nov. 20: vs. Kings;
  • Nov. 27: at Spurs;
  • Dec. 25: vs. 76ers.
