BBC Sport presenter Emma Jones has announced she is taking a break from work as she prioritises her health.

The presenter took to social media to share the news, in which she said that she had spent “more time in hospital” than in her own home.

“My health hasn’t been in a great place for quite some time now and I’ve spent more time in hospital than my own home,” wrote Jones on X/Twitter. “I’m taking time away from work/life to focus on getting back to full strength. I’ll be back soon.”

“Health before career. Right decision in the long run. Speedy recovery,” wrote a third follower, with another adding: “Sorry to hear you’ve been having a hard time if it, wishing you a speedy recovery, take care.”
