Jason Galanis, an ex-business associate of disgraced former first son Hunter Biden, was identified Tuesday as the mystery man engaged to reality star Savannah Chrisley.
The “Chrisley Knows Best” star announced she was pregnant and engaged to a man named “Jason” – later identified as Galanis by Us Weekly – in an Instagram post.
Galanis, 56, was a business partner of Hunter’s from 2012 to 2015, he told the House Oversight Committee in 2024.
Both were equity partners at the Burnham Financial Group (BFG), where Hunter served as vice chairman.
Hunter was brought into the group because of the “strategic relationships,” including from Kazakhstan, Russia and China, that he could provide the venture, according to Galanis.
Through a subsidiary of BFG, Burnham Securities, Galanis orchestrated a $60 million fraud scheme to sell bogus municipal bonds to the Wakpamni Lake Community of the Oglala Sioux Tribe in South Dakota, federal court documents showed.
Galanis was sentenced to 189 months in prison in September 2020.
While behind bars, Galanis briefly cooperated with House Republican investigators who were looking into his dealings with the 46th president’s son.
In virtual testimony, Galanis revealed a 2014 conversation then-Vice President Joe Biden had with Hunter and the former mayor of Moscow.
“You be good to my boy,” the elder Biden had told ex-Moscow Mayor Yuri Luzhkov and his wife, the oligarch Yelena Baturina, during the May 4, 2014 call, according to Galanis.
Baturina had two months earlier transferred $3.5 million to a firm controlled by Hunter Biden and his business partner Devon Archer, who later became involved in the tribal bonds scheme with Galanis.
Galanis also told GOP investigators that Hunter’s primary goal was “to make billions, not just millions” for the family.
“The entire value add of Hunter Biden to our business was his family name and his access to his father, Vice President Joe Biden,” Galanis testified. “Because of this access, I agreed to contribute equity ownership … for no out-of-pocket cost … in exchange for their, quote, relationship capital.”
President Trump commuted Galanis’ sentence last year. He had been serving a 14-year sentence at a corrections center in Montgomery, Ala.
Hunter downplayed his ties to Galanis in his 2024 testimony to the House Oversight Committee.
“I think that 10 years ago for 30 minutes I was introduced to Jason Galanis, and that’s only – the only time I ever recall meeting him,” he said.
Galanis and Chrisley’s father, Todd, who was also pardoned by Trump, served time at Federal Prison Camp in Pensacola, Fla., in 2023, according to Page Six.
Galanis was once dubbed “Porn’s New King” for his investments in internet pornography technology.
