Halle Berry just celebrated Catwoman turning 20 in the most purrrrfect way.
The Academy Award winner, 57, shared images on Instagram of her and her cats, posing topless and wearing a black and white cat-eye mask. «And STILL… meow!» she wrote beneath a slideshow of images featuring her and kittens Boots and Coco.
«It’s been 20 years today since I had the honor of bringing this iconic character to life. She will always be close to my heart and I will forever be Patience Phillips aka CATWOMAN!»
Berry also gave a fellow cat enthusiast, Jee H. Lim a shoutout. «Thank you @missjee79! When these black beauties showed up in my yard searching for their mother, Jee helped us through the rescue process. Forever grateful! ♥️»
Berry told Entertainment Weekly earlier this month for an oral history piece on the movie that she became a cat person 20 years after Catwoman was released.
“I just rescued four kitties I found in my yard three weeks ago,» she continued, referring to Boots and Coco. «I’m a Catwoman through and through, because of that experience and those relationships. That experience changed me.”

In preparation for her feline hero role, she was given a cat named Playdough. «I watched, studied and learned how cats think,» she told EW, adding that she was a «full-on cat, all the time.»
«I’d crawl around my house, trying to jump on my counters, thinking, ‘If I were a cat, how would I get up there?’ I was in it 24/7.»
During her oral history interview with Entertainment Weekly, she also reflected on the backlash she individually received over Catwoman‘s poor box office performance.
«I didn’t want to be casual about it, but I went and collected that Razzie, laughed at myself, and kept it moving,» Berry said.
«It didn’t derail me because I’ve fought as a Black woman my whole life.»
She continued: «A little bad publicity about a movie? I didn’t love it, but it wasn’t going to stop my world or derail me from doing what I love to do.»
Berry spoke about taking in her kittens in June. «I found these two little fur babies in my yard along with their 2 siblings and their mom!»
«I got the mommy spayed and released her back in my yard and she’s now our outdoor cat and the other 2 babies I’ve found a forever home for and these two are our new lovies,» she added.
