Jenna Bush Hager And Olivia Munn Gleefully Body-Slam Men In Chaotic Jiu-Jitsu Segment On ‘Today’: “There’s Something So Empowering About This!”

One of the best parts of daytime television is when the anchors get to learn new skills on the air. But nothing could have prepared viewers for the hilarious Today segment that featured Jenna Bush Hager and Olivia Munn learning how to body slam someone in the name of self-defense.

Bush Hager spent much of the segment panicking as she followed Feminist Self-Defense founder Rachel Piazza’s instruction on how to break an assailant’s grasp.

“Oh God,” Bush Hager groaned, while Munn (who happens to have a black belt in Tae Kwon Do) was much more pumped to be taking part in the lesson. “Yes sensei!” she quipped.

Bush Hager later admitted she was “scared” as Piazza instructed them towards the “fun part” of the move: the actual body slam.

“We’re gonna load them up,” Piazza instructed.

“I don’t know if I can load them up but I’ll try!” Bush Hager yelled back with her arms wrapped around her partner. But she managed to successfully body-slam her partner, despite her hesitation. “Did that hurt?” she asked him. “Oh God, I feel bad! Sorry, are you okay?”

After he assured her he was okay, Bush Hager told Munn, “There’s something so empowering about this!”

The chaotic segment is the perfect way to end Munn’s week on Today With Jenna & Friends.

Munn has been an interesting addition to the show. She and Bush Hager made several headlines this week as she not only got Bush Hager to announce that she schedules sex with her husband, but she also launched into a passionate rant against the all-women flight crew that will be traveling to space.

Bush Hager accused the Your Friends and Neighbors star of trying to stir the pot when Munn tried to trap her with a naughty question on the air.

After Bush Hager refused to answer her question about spicy emojis, Munn fired back, “If you still have a job next week then I have not done my job.”

“Please don’t get me kicked off here. But I’m gonna miss you, this has been so much fun,” Bush Hager told Munn on the show.

Next week will be guys’ week on Today With Jenna & Friends, with Bowen YangJohn LegendJay Ellis, and Andrew Rannells joining Bush Hager on the show.

Today with Jenna & Friends airs on weekdays at 10/9c on NBC.
