Jon Gosselin begged his estranged children to reach out to him and to read their brother Collin Gosselin’s bombshell memoir in an emotional plea.
“I hope you understand that I still love you,” Jon, 49, said in a message to the six kids he doesn’t speak to during a new Entertainment Tonight interview. “I hope one day you reach out to me.”
Jon continued, “And please read your brother’s book because I think that will explain a lot. Be your own person. You are all adults now.”
The former “Jon & Kate Plus 8” star called on the kids to “form your own opinions and try to take in as much information before you talk ill will or anything about anyone in this family.”
Jon, who shares all eight children with ex-wife Kate Gosselin, is estranged from twins Mady and Cara, 26, and four of the sextuplets: Aeden, Leah, Joel and Alexis, all 22.
He only has relationships with Collin and daughter Hannah, both 22.
Jon claimed that he “hasn’t talked” to his estranged kids, but he “of course” wants to.
“It’s not about the book stuff,” he said about Collin’s memoir. “I just want to know how their life is going. I mean, we’re perfect strangers now.”
Jon noted that he’s been estranged from Mady and Cara for 13 years, but he has “no idea why.”
“And then the other four, I haven’t seen them since before COVID, maybe,” he added.
Jon insisted he’s “tried to reach out” to his estranged kids, but they keep ignoring him.
In his book,Collin accused Kate, 51, of severe child abuse, child exploitation, and emotional abuse (Kate has denied her son’s claims).
Collin also shared how he hasn’t talked to his siblings, with the exception of Hannah, in 10 years.
“I love them very much, and I want them to know that what was done to us as children is not normal,” he told Page Six earlier this month.
“It’s horrible how much triangulation occurred in our home and that we were, we were pitted against each other,” the “Special Forces” star added. “I mean, how do you do that to siblings that were all born together on the same day? It’s horrible.”
However, Collin made it clear that his love for his brothers and sisters hasn’t changed.
“I love them very much, and I want them to know that what was done to us as children is not normal,” he told us.
Kate, for her part, recently hit back at Collin’s memoir claims in a TikTok comment, insisting that her “kids know who I truly am and to me, that’s all that matters.”
Following Collin’s accusations of childhood abuse against his mom, Jon alleged that he wants to sue his ex-wife.
“She needs to stop. He is not mentally ill. I would definitely have grounds to sue Kate for defamation and libel,” he said last week.
