New details have emerged surrounding the tragic death of Erin Benavides, the woman once accused of having an affair with Eva Longoria’s ex-husband Tony Parker.
According to a police report obtained by Page Six, investigators documented three firearms following the 54-year-old former prosecutor’s death at her Port Aransas, Texas, home on Oct. 14.
Police also documented multiple bullets found on the scene, according to the report.
The report further reveals that authorities received a call at approximately 7:08 p.m. from someone reporting that a woman had threatened to take her own life.
As previously reported, police arrived at Benavides’ home after a friend of her husband received an alarming text message from her.
Officers forced their way inside the residence, where they discovered Benavides with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Authorities previously said they found no evidence suggesting foul play.
In a statement to Page Six, the Port Aransas Police Department confirmed that officers responded to a welfare concern at approximately 7:34 p.m. on Oct. 14.
“Upon arrival, officers located a deceased female inside the residence with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. The Nueces County Medical Examiner’s Office responded to the scene and assumed responsibility for determining the official cause and manner of death.
“Based on the preliminary investigation, no foul play is suspected,” the statement continued. “However, this remains an active and ongoing investigation. The Port Aransas Police Department extends its condolences to the family and friends of Ms. Benavides.”
Benavides made headlines in 2010 after she was accused of having an emotional affair with Parker, who was married to the “Desperate Housewives” actress at the time.
Benavides, then married to Parker’s former San Antonio Spurs teammate Brent Barry, denied having an affair with the NBA star.
Longoria filed for divorce from Parker in November 2010, while Benavides and Barry also ended their marriage.
Benavides later pursued a career in law, serving as a prosecutor in Texas and working with organizations dedicated to helping vulnerable children.
She resigned from her position with the 38th Judicial District in August 2026, just two months before her death.
