Rumer Willis is celebrating her birthday by participating in the “demure” trend sweeping social media.
As she turned 36 on Friday, Aug. 16, the actress and daughter of Demi Moore and Bruce Willis celebrated in a very “demure” and “mindful” way — with a trip to a beach.
The House Bunny actor documented her sunny, oceanside celebration on Instagram with a video of herself rocking a pink bikini — and cuddling with 1-year-old daughter Louetta in the sand.
“CELEBRATING MY 36TH BIRTHDAY AT THE BEACH. LOCALLY, AND NOT IN EUROPE..,” she wrote alongside the clip. «IT’S THOUGHTFUL. IT’S MINDFUL. IT’S HUMBLE…✨IT’S DEMURE✨.»
In the caption, she wrote that “✨ 36 is the new 26 ✨” and added the hashtag: “#HappyDemureBirthday.”
The actress, who shares Louetta with boyfriend Derek Richard Thomas, also reposted several of her birthday tributes on her Instagram Stories — including a sweet post from her famous mom, 61. Moore also shares daughters Scout, 33, and Tallulah, 30, with ex Bruce.
“Rumer, you will always be my baby!” the movie star wrote alongside a throwback mother-daughter shot. “Happy birthday, my love ♥️ To a new year beyond measure.”
“I love and adore you!” she added.
Bruce’s wife, Emma Heming Willis, also celebrated Rumer’s birthday with a tribute.
The mom of two — who shares daughters Mabel, 12, and Evelyn, 10, with the actor — posted a photo of Rumer posing with her and Bruce’s girls on her Instagram Stories, along with a message for the “demure” birthday girl.
«We adore you @rumerwillis,” she wrote. “Happy Birthday.”
Earlier this year, Rumer opened up about how dad Bruce, who was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia, is doing and his relationship with granddaughter Louetta.

“He’s doing really good,” the actress told PEOPLE in May.
Rumer also said that the Louetta “loves” going to see the Die Hard star.
“It’s so sweet,” she said. “Louetta honestly is like the most famous person in our family. Within my family, people will call and ask to have playdates just with her. They’re like, ‘We don’t really want to see you, we’re just coming over to see Louetta.’ I’m like, ‘Okay.’ ”
