Convicted rapist Russell Brand is being investigated over fresh allegations of sex attacks on other women — including a 16-year-old girl, it emerged Thursday.
UK police confirmed they were looking into the rape claims of two other women against the 51-year-old actor, who was taken into custody after being found guilty of rape and sexual assault Thursday.
One of the accusers claims she dated the “Get Him to the Greek” star when he was 30 and she was just 16 and in school, according to the Sun, citing a pre-trial hearing.
The age of consent in England is 16.
“The Met’s investigation into allegations of rape made by two women remains ongoing,” a spokesperson for London’s Metropolitan Police told the paper.
“The suspect has previously been interviewed under caution in connection with the allegations.”
“Files have been submitted to the Crown Prosecution Service in relation to both complainants,” the statement continued. “Detectives remain in close contact with prosecutors as inquiries continue and further investigative work is carried out.”
