Sydney Sweeney has been all over the big screen lately—going back to back to back with her rom-com Anyone But You, superhero flick Madame Web, and upcoming psychological horror project Immaculate—and we simply cannot get enough of her. Luckily, she has also been all over New York City, displaying her enviably chic wardrobe. For her latest outing, she took cues from another blockbuster film (albeit one she did not star in): The Matrix.
The Euphoria star once again made the concrete-jungle streets her runway on Friday, in an ensemble that evoked the sci-fi action franchise, but with her own itty-bitty twist. Sweeney oozed Parisian cool in a glossy black leather romper that featured a scalloped mock neckline, baggy long sleeves with ruffled cuffs, a button-up construction from the waist up and a zipper design from the waist down, a built-in belt with silver studs cinched tightly at the waist, and teeny-tiny shorts that flared out at the sides ever so slightly. She continued the monochromatic theme, pairing the edgy piece—which hailed from Supriya Lele—with sheer tights, pumps with a silver pointed toe from Alexander McQueen, a small black and silver purse by Givenchy, and oversize cat-eye shades. Sweeney accessorized further with a couple of diamond rings and shiny silver hoop earrings, styled her blonde locks in a voluminous blowout, and glammed up with rosy, glowy makeup complete with a strawberry-pink lip.
Sweeney has been loving an all-black look lately. Later in the evening, she attended a Saturday Night Live pre-party in a tight-fitting, short-sleeved mock-neck top, tucked into a tiny miniskirt that featured tiers of ruffle details. She wore the same sheer stockings, but switched into platform penny loafers by Miu Miu and swapped her eyewear for large square-frame sunglasses.
This morning, however, Sweeney diverted from the inky hue for something lighter and more retro. She stepped out in a navy blue co-ord consisting of a cropped long-sleeved button-up shirt with tortoiseshell buttons and darker blue accents on the cuffs, hem, and collar, along with a matching pleated A-line midi skirt, both of which featured decorative white stitching. She teamed the set with tall suede pointed-toe boots in a creamy beige shade, a crisp white purse, and another pair of cat-eye shades.
Tonight marks the star’s first time hosting the sketch comedy show, which also features musical guest Kacey Musgraves.
