Tom Hardy’s fans are in disbelief after the actor dropped a rap album with underground group Czarface on Friday.

Under his alias Frankie Pulitzer, the “MobLand” star collaborated with 7L & Esoteric and Inspectah Deck of Wu-Tang Clan on “Czarface Meets Frankie Pulitzer.”

“Tom Hardy and Inspectah Deck collab album is a sentence I never thought I would say,” one stunned fan wrote via X, with another commenting, “Tom hardy really said method acting wasn’t enough.”

A third remarked, “David Bowie may be gone but we still have Tom Hardy,” while a fourth chimed in, “bro really unlocked a secret rap persona.”

“Frankie Pulitzer just confirmed what we already knew: Tom Hardy’s IMDb page is going to keep getting weirder in the best possible way,” another person gushed.

The album contains various references to the Green Goblin, Marvel hero Thor, Shakespeare, Stephen King’s “Misery” and more, and features guest collabs with artists like Busta Rhymes and Method Man.

In “Raw Forever,” Hardy, 48, notably references the Green Goblin, rapping, “I be somewhat of a scientist / like Willem Dafoe / If you know, then you know / Goblin up crumbs.”

He continues, “Doctor Doom / how I’m the Victor / the Scripture.”

A fan reacted to the eclectic cinematic references via X, writing, “MARVEL sipped through his brain like some sort of a symbiotic element… I appreciate that.”

On another track, titled “Grim-Visaged War,” Hardy voices Shakespeare‘s “Richard III” monologue in what sounds like the character of Bane, the actor’s character from 2012’s “The Dark Knight Rises.”

While many fans have expressed surprise at Hardy’s seemingly random career pivot, the actor has been vocal about his passion for rap in the past.

He once shared that he began rapping at the young age of “14 or 15.”

“I’ve recorded loads of stuff but it’s never been released,” the actor (seen above with co-star Joanne Froggatt in a scene from “MobLand”) said in 2011. Luke Varley/Paramount+

“Because I come from a nice middle-class neighborhood, it was a very hard sell. And I wasn’t very good!” he confessed in 2011, per the BBC. “I’ve recorded loads of stuff but it’s never been released.”

Of course, the “Mad Max: Fury Road” actor isn’t the first celebrity to unveil a musical career change this year. Just last month, Anthony Hopkins released a classical music album, “Life is a Dream.”

The Oscar winner — who is an accomplished pianist and composer — recorded a collection of original compositions with the Philharmonia Orchestra under the supervision of conductor Gustavo Dudamel.

“Music was my first desire, my first wish. I’ve been composing music all my life. Some of these pieces have lived with me for decades, and I still find myself returning to them,” Hopkins, 88, shared in a Facebook post.

Earlier this year, Nicole Kidman also revealed that she would be studying to become a death doula.

The actor, 59, was inspired to become certified following the death of her mother, Janelle Kidman, in September 2024.

“As my mother was passing, she was lonely, and there was only so much the family could provide,” the “Big Little Lies” star explained to a University of San Francisco gathering of students during the school’s Silk Speakers series.

“Between my sister, [Antonia Kidman] and I, we have so many children and our careers and our work,” Nicole continued. “[We] want[ed] to take care of her because my father, [Antony Kidman], wasn’t in the world anymore.”

In her mother’s final days, the Oscar winner wished that there were “these people in the world that were there to sit impartially and just provide solace and care.”

“So,” she declared, “that’s one of the things I will be learning.”

Death doulas are “non-medical professionals” providing support to those “navigat[ing] death, loss, and mortality,” according to the International End-of-Life Doula Association.
