Dad’s mistaken attempt to confront kid’s bully leaves him severely beaten by student trained in MMA

An enraged dad was brutally pummeled by a student trained in MMA after mistakenly threatening to slash an innocent student’s throat for bullying his daughter at an Australian high school, according to reports.

The beatdown unfolded when the parent arrived at Wollert Secondary College on Monday to pick up his daughter after school and confronted a group of Year 7 boys, the Herald Sun reported.

The father then approached a student outside the suburban Melbourne school — who was not actually involved in bullying his daughter — and shockingly threatened to “slash the throat” of the innocent student, the outlet reported.

An older boy, who trains in MMA, intervened in the escalating confrontation and began beating the father in front of horrified onlookers, including his own daughter, the outlet said.

It’s not immediately clear what injuries the angry dad suffered in the beating, and a formal police report has not yet been made.

Parents at Wollert Secondary College, where a student was arrested earlier this year for swinging a chain on campus, expressed concern about the altercation and safety at the school.

“The parent should have asked which child was bullying his kid instead of assuming,” a Wollert Secondary College parent told the outlet.

“As a father you should have gone to the office and complained, or the student should have gone to the office and reported the incident … the teachers would have done something about it,” the parent added.
