Blast from the past.
Heidi Klum ran into her ex-boyfriend Vito Schnabel while she was having lunch with her look-alike daughter, Leni, outside at Bar Pitti in New York City on Monday.
The former couple, who broke up in 2017 after three years of dating, appeared friendly as they greeted each other at the restaurant.
In a video obtained by Page Six, Heidi, 53, and Leni, 22, could be seen switching tables in the outdoor dining area, though it’s unclear if they did so before or after running into Schnabel, 40.
For the mother-daughter lunch date, Heidi wore a long navy blue coat over a gray top and denim jeans.
The supermodel also rocked a pair of black sunglasses and carried a gray purse.
Heidi’s look was drastically different than the severed hand costume she wore to her annual Halloween party in New York City over the weekend.
Leni, meanwhile, went with an all-black look for the leisure lunch.
The nepo baby held onto the family’s puppy Fritz, whom they adopted in April, during the meal with her mom.
Heidi welcomed Leni in 2004 with former Formula One executive Flavio Briatore. Leni was later adopted by Seal, whom Heidi was married to from 2005 to 2012, and had three more children with.
Two years after Heidi and Seal separated, she began dating Schnabel, a successful art dealer and the son of director Julian Schnabel.
In June 2017, Schnabel was spotted smooching another woman in London, sparking speculation that he and Heidi broke up.
Schnabel told People of the kiss: “I was simply saying good night to a family friend and we went on our separate ways.”
Meanwhile, sources close to Heidi and Schnabel claimed they were still very much together.
But that September, Page Six exclusively reported that the couple were “on a break,” shortly before Heidi confirmed the split herself.
“I believe that it is important to take time to pause and reflect,” she told People at the time.
The German model went on to marry musician Tom Kaulitz in 2019.
The couple secretly tied the knot in February of that year, before they had a formal celebration in Italy that summer.
Schnabel, meanwhile, got married to Russian model Helena Althof in July 2024.
Page Six confirmed the couple wed in Old Westbury, New York, “in a very small and very private ceremony.”
The wedding reception was held at the Richard Meier-designed mansion that Schnabel purchased back in 2019.
