After we told you about a condition called “Blue Dot Fever” that’s spreading to music acts and their summer tours — the Pussycat Dolls are the latest group to come down with a bad case.
The ‘90s act has pulled the plug on their reunion tour, the same day as our report that Post Malone, Zayn Malik and Meghan Trainor have either paused or called off their tours altogether.
On Monday we reported a music insider as saying: “Seems that Post Malone came down with a serious case of Blue Dot Fever,” referring to those blue dots indicating available seats on a Ticketmaster seating chart. “And it’s contagious.”
However, Malone, Trainor and Malik all blamed other reasons than Blue Dot Fever for their canceled shows — from the need to make new music to family life and health issues.
Pussycat Dolls Kimberly Wyatt, Nicole Scherzinger and Ashley Roberts were leading the comeback tour, but they posted Monday: “We hoped to bring the show to fans across the world. After taking an honest look at the North American run, we’ve made the difficult and heartbreaking decision to cancel all but one of the North America dates.”

But it’s just the latest Live Nation tour to call it quits after Trainor and Malik axed their outings, and Malone canceled some dates.
Our source previously said that Blue Dot Fever is going around because, “Everybody’s high on their own supply. Will the artists finally push back? It’s hurting the fans. The question [for Post Malone] is: Why is he doing another stadium tour? Post Malone will probably need to cancel a bunch more dates. Guess what? Nobody bought tickets — everything is priced so high. It’s all a bad situation.”
