Scottish actress Karen Gillan shared the behind the scenes of her World Cup journey as she took a “wrong bus” ride with a bunch of Brazil fans after the 3-0 win over Scotland in Miami on Wednesday night.
Gillan, who starred in “Guardians of the Galaxy” and the “Jumanji” reboot, made the most of potentially getting on the wrong bus after the Group C clash, even chanting with the opposing team’s supporters.
“I think we’re on the wrong bus,” Gillan joked in an Instagram Story video, which showed Brazil fans cheering after the team’s shutout win. “But we love you Brazil.”
Gillan and the Brazil fans sang, “No Scotland, no party,” which is a chant by the Tartan Army, Scotland’s supporters group, in another video.
“They are singing our song!!” Gillan wrote.
She included a clip of a Scotland fan and a Brazil supporter swapping jerseys.
“Thank you for joining me on this World Cup journey. What at night,” Gillan captioned a clip of her holding a thumbs up.
Vinícius Júnior tallied two goals and Matheus Cunha also scored to help propel five-time World Cup champion Brazil advance to the knockout stage.
Scotland finished group play with 3 points and will have to wait and see if they advance to the Round of 32 as one of the third-place qualifiers.
The actress was ecstatic to cheer for her homeland in Miami, writing, “I can’t believe I made it” over a video of her cheering in the stands at Hard Rock Stadium.
Neymar Jr., who’s been dealing with a calf injury, came off the bench for his 2026 World Cup debut.
It was his first game with the national team since October 2023, and Brazil fans gave him a loud warm welcome.
Neymar had a sweet moment with his longtime girlfriend, Bruna Biancardi, a Brazilian model and social media influencer, and their two daughters, Mavie and Mel.
The pair announced earlier this month that they are expecting their third child together.
Brazil will next play in the Round of 32 on June 29.
